Beach Wedding Invitation Different From Normal

October 6, 2009

tay-2A beach wedding is certainly full of fun. In a beach wedding, it will be a lot less formal. Both of the couple and also the guests may walk on the beach with their bare foot. The sea and the blue sky certainly form an extremely beautiful picture. The sound of waves from the sea is the most perfect wedding music. The guests can also dress causally. They do not need to put a tie or formal dress on. This is why beach weddings become more and more popular.

As a beach wedding should be less formal than other form of weddings, one may ask if the wedding invitation should also be less formal, or somehow causal. In fact there is no definite answer about this question. Even if a beach wedding is planned, a formal invitation can also be chosen. However, it may render more fun if a more informal invitation is chosen.

One simple idea of a less formal invitation for a beach wedding is to put some seashell patterns on the wedding card. Embossing will certainly a perfect choice. What is good about embossing is that the guests can “feel” the seashell patterns by their hand. Alternatively, you can print images of seashells on the card.

If you would like to have even more fun and meaning for your beach wedding invitation. You can put real seashell into the wedding invitation. The easiest way is to put a seashell in each envelope. You can also treat the invitation as a sculpture such that the invitation itself is a seashell made from plaster.

The idea of a plaster seashell as a wedding invitation should be very interesting. However, such a sculpture will render difficulties in sending the invitation. You will need to prepare for a higher mailing cost.

If you find this idea of seashell sculpture is too difficult for you to handle, you may try an easier idea. You can put a little bit of sand into the wedding invitation. The most convenient way is to stick a layer of sand on the invitation card such that every guest will know there will be a beach wedding without reading the details of the wedding.

Besides sticking a layer of sand on the wedding card, a very tiny bottle of sand may also work. You can treat the bottle of sand as a entry ticket and the guests have to bring the bottles in order to attend the wedding ceremony and reception. What is good about this idea tiny bottles is that you can get a three dimensional wedding invitation and at the same time it is not too difficult to send them out.

A third idea, and it may be the easiest way to make the wedding invitation, is to draw a cartoon of the beach you are going to have the wedding reception. A beach wedding is meant to be funny and joyful and it is totally alright to have a wedding invitation with funny cartoons on it. If you are good at drawing, you can even draw the cartoon yourself. This will make the wedding card even more meaningful.NP1

Apart from the invitation, the same cartoon drawing can be printed as tickets for the “permission” for the guests to walk on the beach with their bare foot. This can make more fun out both of the wedding invitation and the wedding reception.

If you do not want the invitation to be a cartoon wedding card, you can try to take a photo of the beach you are going to have the wedding reception. Then you can print the photo onto the wedding invitation. A black and white photo will be extremely perfect for the invitation. This black and white photo delivers a sense of romance to guests.

You can also work as the models in the photo. It can be a photo depicting the idea that you two are walking on the beach. It can be also something like a snapshot, depicting a happy moment of both of you on the beach.

Indeed there are a lot more beach wedding idea online. You can just let your imagination fly and you can get the most creative idea, if not the craziest, for you beach wedding invitation.

Ideas For Your Wedding Invitation

October 5, 2009

introWhen you are planning your wedding and you already know when you are getting married, you will need to inform your guest in time. Invite them to join your wedding celebration and your party.

What should you think about wedding invitation?

At first make a list of all people you want to invite. Then you know exactly how many invitations you have to send out.

That will help you with other preparations such as name cards, finding the right location, the right quantity for decoration, food, drinks and so on.

1. Timing

Start early with preparing your guest list and be finished at least 3 months before the wedding day. Believe me, that is a hard task.

You need minimum another few weeks, to find the right wording for your invitations cards and designing the card.

Get your invitation delivered three months before your wedding day.

2. Invitation cards

It is always a nice idea to create your own personal invitation cards. You can ask for professional help and they will provide you with different designs and wording for the invitation.

Your decision depends on your budget and on your time, which you can spend on it.

When you know how to use your computer, there are easy ways to make your own invitation cards. Online you will find a lot of free software to design your personalized invitation cards, as well to find the inspiration for designing the cards.

3. Wording

What made your relationship to your partner so special that you want to get married?

Those kinds of thoughts should be written in your Personal Wedding Invitation and etiquette is still important.

The letter should start and foremost include the host names, most likely from the parents of the couple.

If the bride and groom is hosting the wedding at their place, wording can be: We are pleased to well come you on our wedding day. Do not forget to mention the time and location of the wedding celebration.

It is very important to ask your guests, if they want to attend on your wedding day and how many are coming. In any case a reply on your request is necessary for your further planning.

Let your guests know that a party will be after your wedding celebration. This can either be included on the wedding invitation or on a separate response card.

For example you can use following words: Reception to follow at the Torbay Boots Club.

If you don’t want to serve a full meal you might write: “And afterward for cocktails and cake at the Rotary Club in the White Room” or mention only: “Dessert and dancing to follow”.il_430xN.24085446

4. Design

Get some good ideas online. The internet will give you the inspiration, to create your unique wedding invitation card. Do you have to follow any theme wedding, such as a blue or red wedding, beach wedding? Consider this in your design?

Many places you will find on the internet, where you can get the right design software for free. You should also consider that a nice fancy paper from the stationary shop will give your invitation a touch of exclusivity.

The design of the invitation card reflects more of the couple’s personality. Traditional designs are not as widely used.

A wedding invitation should represent you as a couple, which love each other. Let all your friends and relatives know that you will marry your partner on that specific day at a set time.

Make sure that you send out all wedding invitation in time, so that your guests are prepared to join your unique wedding celebration.

Best Cake For a Beach Wedding

October 5, 2009

Aside from being eye candy and dessert for later, the practice of having a wedding cake has been deeply rooted in different cultures. And if you’re the beach bride who won’t pass up to showing a little bit of tradition on her beach wedding, the cake is unlikely to take a backseat. And for some, it’s simply not as fun without a cake.

western_wanted_01The wedding cake has taken on so many forms over the years. A multi-layered cake with butter cream frosting cannot go out of place in an air conditioned reception hall. But owing it to the different circumstances surrounding a beach wedding, choosing a cake can be more stressful than that in a traditional reception.

Luckily, for the beach bride, she is not compelled to have a towering cake on her beach wedding. (So fight off the temptation to showcase your family’s uber prosperity as much as you can.) For one thing, the guest list is usually much shorter, so just have enough and avoid wastage. Second, transporting an enormous cake is anything but sweet. Delivery of the wedding cake to the beach wedding location often comes with a surcharge if the location exceeds the bakery’s delivery limit.  And judging from the distance of the bakery to the destination, just imagine the possible appearance of the cake when it gets to the beach wedding location. Look for bakers that transport the cake in parts and just assemble them on the location. Why not have a one-tier cake and affirm the couple’s laid back, casual choice for a beach wedding?

Other than the possible stress of transporting the cake, scouting for beach wedding cakes is so much fun. Think starfish, shells, terrapins, dolphins and other sea life in place of the typical rose sculpting. Mystical sea creatures like mermaids are most welcome, too. It’s a beach wedding, so naturally the terribly  drab bride and groom topper should be off right away. Dress the toppers down to surfer wear and the cake will definitely be in sync with the theme.

Who says beach wedding cakes need to be round? Choose a sea shell or starfish cake, or even go nautical with a lifesaver, yacht or a ship.

Choose cakes with light frosting.  Imagine your face being stripped off of makeup because of the heat. Yes, same goes for frosting.  Fondant can stand very high temperatures, but does not taste very good for some people. Marzipan encrusted cakes are delicious, too. Tropical fruits and flowers add a very nice touch to the cake.

Other couples just have a small cake for themselves, but provide other dessert forms such as cheesecake bar, chocolate fountain within a chocolate dessert bar, fruit salad bar, ice cream bar and the like. Cupcakes have been very popular alternatives over the years.

Whatever the design, flavor and shape the wedding cake turns out to be, the beach bride should be particularly concerned where the cake will be placed on the beach wedding location. Temperatures can get pretty unpredictable on these beachfront sites. It would be a shame that after all the painstaking baking, styling and decorating, the cake suffers a literal meltdown under the heat. Oh, and stop those kids from throwing sand.

Photographer Analysis of the Newport Beach Wedding Location

October 5, 2009

This article is written for those who will be getting married at Rancho Las Lomas or those who will be photographers at the wedding – either as friends and family wanting to contribute some shots or the professional photographer. The following are some tips for shooting successfully at this location.weddings_dt

  1. There are some beautiful fruit bearing trees at this location. Try and get some shots of the bride and groom walking through these trees. With a few good applied Photoshop actions, you can turn these shots into period portraits with a rustic feel.
  2. Look for the balcony. Get some pictures of the bride, bride and groom and others on the balcony. Make sure you are far enough back to pick up the entire building and some of the beautiful landscaping. You can always zoom in or crop to get some close-ups. This shot will have a princess in a castle type feel to it.
  3. At the ceremony site, line up the bride and groom in front of the last row of chairs. Frame the ceremony structure in the background. This will perfectly frame your subjects in the wedding area.
  4. There is a beautiful, old, red telephone booth on premise. A fun shot is to take pictures of the bride or the bride and groom kissing in the booth, posing in front of the booth, or sticking their faces out of the booth. Later in Photoshop apply a 50′s retro action.
  5. On the grounds, you will see a large tree with a large long low hanging vertical branch. A tree swing has been attached. From a distance – so you can get a good portion of the tree in the shot – capture the bride and groom on this swing.
  6. Look for the bench that is covered in blue tiles. This location is a stunning place to take some shots of the bride alone – especially if that dark blue compliments her skin tone. The white dress creates a strong and memorable contrast with the dark blue tile. This is a good location to get pictures of the bridesmaids as well, if their dresses go well with the color of the tile.
  7. Find the green bridge. There are a number of angles from which you can shoot the couple or groups; however, if the riverbed is dry, get down in it. From this lower angle you will be able to capture your subjects with the large trees towering overhead.

Professional photographers in Orange County speak highly of this location as a place to shoot a wedding. By following these tips, a photographer will better be able to combine the beauty of the couple with this wedding location.

Amazing Hairdo For Your Beach Wedding

October 4, 2009

A beach wedding allows for beach brides to let their hair down, be mousse-free, what have you. Some beach brides do not want the heavy feel or tiaras and veils and any hair product while enjoying the sun on her beach wedding location. While tedious hours are spent styling hair for any traditional ceremony in town, beach wedding hair wear is as unique as the beach wedding itself.

ImpressionsThe veil can be left out completely on a beach wedding. Some beach brides do away with the veil because of unpredictable island weather such as sudden breeze or an entirely windy day. Even tulle can become very uncomfortable during extremely hot weather, so no beach bride wants her makeup to cake underneath it. There is one style that proves to be very suitable for beach weddings too. The birdcage veil is growing increasingly popular again for that old Hollywood style.

Flowers are the next best thing to tiaras. Tropical flowers can be stuck to a simple bun or pinned to the end of a pretty braid on the side. Choose flowers that can withstand warmer (or hotter) climates for hair wear that can last until the end of the reception, as well as for décor. The flowers that are tougher to extreme weather are calla lilies, stargazers and roses. Artificial flowers can be used together with real flowers, but make sure that they don’t look too faux.

Hair accessories shaped as starfishes, shells or any sea life can be pinned to hair and any beach bride will look coordinated without much effort. For a little glitter, choose the ones with rhinestones or Swarovski crystals. Mother of pearl is an excellent choice, too. Combs and pins adorned with crystals and pearls look good too. Flower girls can wear wide headbands decked with shells and pearls.

Aside from beach wedding hair wear, the style should also be given a lot of thought. Does the beach bride have her own stylist with her to the beach wedding location, or is she having this particular hairstyle copied at the local salon? In the presence of a personal stylist, clearly nothing can go wrong as this is the bride’s own. As for having a local stylist copy a desired hairstyle, the beach bride should be wary that the output may vary from the inspiration. To avert this, the beach bride should have had a hairstyling session prior to the wedding day itself. One can just picture out the probable scenarios following hairstyle havoc. Not pretty.

Most beach brides want the wind blowing in their loosely curled hair, one hibiscus tucked in her ear. Others want a tied bun accentuated by tropical flowers or cupped by a jewelry cuff. Some ditch these altogether and just let their hair down. However the beach bride wants to wear her hair on this occasion, whatever look she wants to sport, she has to stick to the rule of thumb when it comes to accessorizing. Don’t overdo it!

Printable Wedding Invitation Kits

October 4, 2009

When you open a wedding invitation, you immediately know what kind of wedding this will be. You know by the color, design, and font style if the ceremony is formal and traditional, modern and casual, or a destination event.  As a couple, this gives you a lot of leeway to communicate your special style. However, before you head for the nearest stationary store and order your complete printed invitations, consider printable wedding invitation kits. Why?BronzeSilkInvitation1

Well, first of all you can save up to 50% (and sometimes more) by printing your own.  All you need is basic computer skills and a printer. Regular ink jet printers will work beautifully on 80 lb cover paper and laser printers are wonderful for specialty papers like shimmer Italian papers. Plus, instructions and templates are provided and easy to use.

Secondly, your choice of unusual and unique styles skyrockets. You can find designs that are one-of-a-kind, or choose unusual paper or colors for an individual twist. For example, pocket folder invitations are very popular this year but choosing a bold color like flame orange or watermelon adds that personal touch you can only get when you use “design your own” kits. Also you get a chance to see new designs and designers especially in single panel cards where experimentation is the name of the game.

And finally, when you assemble your invitations, you can also add your own personal touches. Some kits provide your choice of ribbon colors or contrasting “belts” to close the invites. You can also visit the “scrap booking” section of you nearest hobby store for interesting accessories that can be easily used to punch up your invites.

But most of all, using printable wedding invitations kits is fun. You can get a better quality paper, a unique design, and your own personal touches for far less than you imagine.

Critical Wedding For the Beach Bride

October 2, 2009

Planning for a beach wedding can become stressful and can bring out the worst from the nicest of women. Women are just human, but have this uncanny ability to transform ourselves into “creatures.” And we’re not talking about PMS just yet.

paperchez-chic-couture-letterpress-invitations-free-custom-designs-1But seriously, all the stress that we have been put through while planning the beach wedding is never an excuse to come across as having poor taste or being ill-mannered. This is our day, yes, but no bride wants to be put on the “I-hope-she-never-throws- a-party-again” list. We’re brides, not divas.

1. Don’t be late. Being fashionably late is not cool. This is especially important if you’ve timed the wedding when the sun is blazing like crazy. It’s bad enough that the schedule was incredibly thoughtless, now the guests will be melting away just like that. Stick to the schedule no matter how late you went to sleep the night before. If the makeup has to be redone, inform the guests about the delay. Guests are very considerate in the face of an actual emergency or delay, but not when the bride feels like spending another hour in the tub or admiring the scenery before going to the beach wedding ceremonies.

2. Don’t be a diva. It doesn’t matter if the bride is clearly the “star” of occasion, but the people who are with you on your beach wedding are equally important. Don’t throw a fit. There is always a better way of saying things to someone, or getting your point across. If the DJ can’t find the song for the bridal waltz, give him time to actually look for it on the list. Don’t give him the “look” or start firing away expletives. Have a copy of the song yourself, in anticipation for this little disaster.  Have your wedding planner or wedding partner deal with EVERYTHING on the day of the wedding itself. Ignorance is bliss.

3. Don’t forget to say “Thank you.” Remember that the beach wedding location is probably far from the where your guests live, and they have taken time off work or school just to celebrate with you. Everyone needs to know they are appreciated.  The bridesmaids and the rest of the bridal party as well as all of the guests have traveled all the way to your beach wedding location. Beach wedding favors should be given a lot of thought to show guests and attendants that you appreciate their participating in your celebration.

Obviously, we have come a long way in trying to throw an amazing beach wedding for ourselves and an equally amazing bash for our guests. Brides have always been given the notion that her wedding day is when everyone and everything is at her beck and call. But no matter how hard we have worked on this occasion; our beach wedding is never the right time to manifest bad manners.
