This is most likely a family affair and really loud, explicit music is something even the hippest grandma would not appreciate. The choice of beach wedding music can be very polarizing, though. We all know the beach wedding is all about the couple, like their shared interests. But the wedding reception is not the time to showcase the couple’s shared love for loud cutting-edge music for the entire night. The repertoire should be something all the guests could relate to. It is never “just music.” If blaring music cannot be downplayed, just make sure the older guests are not seated near the speakers.
Yes, it’s a beach. But no matter how informal the beach wedding is, beach wedding attire will never translate to a bikini clad beach bride during the ceremonies (especially so if it’s a religious one). The beach bride should be a vision to behold, and not some distraction. No, we don’t want any bride wearing a long sleeved garment under the hot sun, but the choice for a beach wedding dress should be tasteful and not tacky. The same goes for ultra sexy outfits that offer a lot of mammary exposure. We still have to ask why?
The wedding suppliers and vendors should be treated with respect, even though they are getting paid for their services. Treating the caterers, photographers, musicians and the like as servants on your beach wedding speaks loudly of how you would treat other people, too. There is always a nicer way to phrase things, even when we’re disappointed. Let these professionals do their job; they do this for a living so respect what they do. Even when they have committed a mistake or two, make the criticism as constructive as possible and don’t let any other nerves get in the way. The beach bride may become really upset over this, so another person should be given the hand in dealing with this.
Do not delay dinner or meals to make way for long speeches and audio visual presentations Sure, everyone wants to know how the couple met or how the best man and the groom coo about their brotherly love. But this will be appreciated more over dinner. A hungry guest is a disinterested one.
All in all, good manners will never be passe. And as innovative and modern as a beach wedding sounds, nothing beats the tradition of having gracious manners on any wedding.
